  Hi, I'd just like to give you feedback from our visit. 4 x people afternoon tea £26.00 each 11.30am yesterday. This was a treat for my friends 40th Birthday. In my rush to get some special things arranged for our weekend away. I missed the fact that all the afternoon tea sandwiches had some form of cheese on them (which my friend whose birthday it was doesn't like) My genuine mistake! We kindly asked if she could have a replacement sandwich. The waitress said she would check with the kitchen. She returned to say this was possible but it would be an additional £5 charge. Having years of experience in hospitality and now running my own business. I also know what good customer service is! Bear in mind you had called me earlier in the week & we had rescheduled plans and agreed to arrive 30 minutes earlier upon your request (as you had a larger party arriving after us) You turned our table around in less than an hour for £100+ (I know the cost of making a sandwich) You made no effort to accommodate a small change. Something I would expect from any good cafe restaurant. Not an additional £5 charge! For what we thought was a beautiful find, it left us feeling quite flat & bitter about our experience with you. My friend quite rightly refused to pay an additional £5 and she essentially paid £26 for a cup of tea & some mini desserts. I'm certain you're very busy, as the food was delicious but I just want to tell you I think this was exceptionally poor. Especially as it was quite apparent with the t shirts, we were wearing it was a special occasion. I would be mortified if one of my customers had been treated this way! Good service goes a long way!

  Visited Plush Café today first time ever Went in for brunch and coffee and we weren't disappointed Had a pizza so good it could put pizza-dedicated places to shame (best one I've had in a while) as well as sweet pancakes which were also divine Great quality coffee as well let's not forget Staff were amazing and welcoming and attentive althroughout Menu cracked me up (name of dishes made of puns and dad jokes; quirky touch if you ask me) Place is located in a characterful converted house and using the toilet requires extra skill and attention as a bit narrow (not a deal-breaker though, in fact quite interesting) Be sure to use all 3 locks on the door once inside All in all a great experience and would visit again because they've got different themed rooms Good going Plush! Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free options

  Had a gorgeous afternoon tea here on Sunday. Lovely staff, very welcoming and friendly. Afternoon tea was great - had 1 veggie and 1 vegan. Lots of nice options with takeaway boxes for the bits we couldn't finish! Great value for money and accepted blue light card - thank you so much

  Bottomless Hotties Brunch for a birthday in the garden room. Service was quick, food was great and the unlimited hot drinks were amazing. The toffee popcorn hot chocolate is the best hot chocolate I have ever had and you definitely get your moneys worth. A gidden gem in the heart of York.

  I booked in Saturday morning for Saturday afternoon for 2 people (last minute booking as we were unsure of the train strikes). It gave the option to book the garden room which is what we were hoping for and as the option was there, I assumed this was available however when we got there they confirmed because it was last minute we would have to sit in the neon room/bohemian room - we were then moved to the garden room after around 30 minutes which is much smaller than it seems on pictures. For the first 35/40 minutes we were only served one drink and we had booked in for the bottomless cocktails so this was really disappointing, we managed to have 3 more before our time was up but I would expect more from a bottomless brunch. We were unable to finish the last drink because it was far too sweet/sickly and unfortunately our time had run out by this point. The lady who served us was nice but it generally seemed unorganised and understaffed - wasn’t worth the money unfortunately and would not return.

  Have been a couple of times now. Lovely, quirky little place. I love their rainbow lattes. On my first visit, I went with my dog, who enjoyed a wooficino while I had a Mermaid Mist latte. Today I went alone and got a delicious lavender latte. Bought a beautiful fox cup and saucer as well. The 2 members of staff went above and beyond to find a box for me to take it home in, and packaged it carefully. Will visit again for sure. Vegetarian options: Good range of options, even with drinks.
