Ordered a cake (£90) and it did arrive on time even though my emails were not replied to in the 4 days prior to delivery. The cake entire cake had been completely destroyed in transit. I emailed customer service with a picture of the destroyed cake they said they would refund the money straightaway. I then started looking for a replacement cake when the owner called me and promised to get a fresh cake delivered to me by next day delivery. I thought this was great. I then cancelled this replacement cake I was looking for, with the confidence that Cakes By Andrew would follow through on their promise. No new cake has been delivered, no refund issued, no contact. Nothing. Do no order from these people

Customer service is absolutely abhorrent. Three weeks of waiting for a justly deserved refund as my cake arrived completely unpresentable and damaged with zero reply via email. Absolutely impossible to get through to them on the phone, just goes to automated messages or voicemail. Only reply that I’ve had was on trust-pilot (assumedly because it’s a public platform) and that was that they would get investigate with their courier and get back to me. Everything is great if your cake arrives in good condition, but god forbid anything goes wrong because getting any answer from this company is outright impossible apparently. When spending such large amounts of money on a cake you expect it to arrive in perfect condition and mine was far from it, and when something goes wrong you at least expect the company to admit fault. I doubt at this stage I will get a refund but I will continue to write reviews so that people can be warned about the customer service side of things.
