FAQ

What certifications does your farm have to ensure organic farming practices are being followed?

We are certified by the Soil Association, which is the UK's leading organic certification body. This means that our farm meets strict standards for organic farming practices, including the use of organic seeds and breeds, avoiding synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, and promoting biodiversity and soil health.

Can you provide information on the specific farming methods and techniques used on your farm?

We use a variety of farming methods and techniques to promote biodiversity and soil health, including crop rotation, cover cropping, and composting. We also use natural pest control methods, such as companion planting and beneficial insects, to avoid the use of synthetic pesticides. Our farming practices are designed to work with nature, rather than against it.

What is the origin of the seeds and breeds you use on your farm?

We source our seeds and breeds from certified organic suppliers, and prioritize buying locally when possible. We also save some of our own seed to maintain the diversity and resilience of our crops. All of our seeds and breeds are non-GMO and meet organic certification standards.

How do you ensure the quality and freshness of your produce from harvest to distribution?

We harvest our produce at peak ripeness and cool it immediately to maintain freshness. We also prioritize short supply chains, selling directly to local customers and businesses whenever possible. Our produce is typically sold within a day or two of harvest, ensuring maximum freshness and flavor.

Do you offer any educational programs or tours of your farm for individuals or groups interested in learning more about your organic farming practices?

Yes, we offer educational tours of our farm for individuals and groups interested in learning more about our organic farming practices. We also offer workshops and other educational programs throughout the year. Please contact us for more information and to schedule a visit.

Beautiful campsite with amazing views run by lovely family. Relaxed vibe, hot showers, fire pits with excellent dry wood, breakfast/coffee stall in mornings and hot drinks/sweet shop in evenings. Highly recommended - it’s Eco Caerhys Camping on pitchup.

Had excellent stay, highly recommended. Beautiful sea view and excellent location, near to the Blue Lagoon (10 minutes walk). Location is also good base to explore near beaches or coast path. Also close to St Davids town.(approx 10 minutes drive). Good size pitches, very good showers with hot water. Owners are extremally helpfull and frendly just to mention Kaz had helped me to sort my car out when it broke on arrival to campsite. (can't thank him enough) Also owners offer breakfast and drinks in the morning and you can hire a fire pit as well. Would benefit from having compostable toilets instead of portaloo but still they were clean and well maintained. Would definately come back.

(Translated by Google) We camped there for 3 nights. Very large field in front of the sea with well-defined pitches around the perimeter, a superb view. Toilets, showers and sinks for ecological and very practical dishes. The owners make breakfast in a cabin every morning from 8 am to 11 am: bacon, sausages and eggs produced on the farm. I was every morning in front of the cabin, they are very friendly! Only flaw: no shadow on the ground.

Beautiful location with views of the sea and blue lagoon. Easy to get on the coastal path in either direction. Very friendly owners, Caz always went out of his way to help and is great to chat to. Facilities are basic but very clean and a good standard, exactly what you'd expect from an eco campsite. Really enjoyed our stay and look forward the next visit!

Love this farm and the Miles family are really welcoming. They are setting an example for sustainable farming and land management in Wales and wider communities. I recommend their camping site too as it's utterly spectacular.

I only come here for thier harvest festival as a sound technician ad musician. But I've seen them in action. Both Gerald and Caz atrive and work hard to meet thier goals and both are wonderful human beings. There are few I dedicate my buisness to, but these guys are around my select few. From camping, to organic produce you can get it here. (Qnd on the right weekend of the year live music too.).

Re Eco Caerhys Camping We stayed at the farm’s recently opened campsite for two nights and would thoroughly recommend it. (Can be booked on pitchup.com; Eco Caerhys Camping). It’s basic but that adds to the charm. The views are stunning, the pitches are spacious, there was a relaxed atmosphere and its run by a really lovely family. We will absolutely be back.
