    What a success that was! Matthew and the team provided exceptional advice and guidance for us. This was the first time we had approached a specialised auctioneer to get some value out of an old military item. We were given an estimate of £400 - £600 and advised to set a reserve. The lot - 'attractive Japanese enamel decorated sword in tach mounts" was what we had always know as "grandpa's naughty sword." Whilst it had great memories for us as a family, we decided it would be time to let it find a permanent home in a collector's care. I have included the lot description so anyone can verify the sale if they choose to fact check this review. It sold for a whopping £2300! Minus commissions, we took home a very hearty payment and that helped us as a family visit our eldest son for his wedding in the USA, right after Nov 8th this year. And luckily, before more travel restrictions came back. All of us in the Duncan family would like to thank C&T for their exceptional services, which led to bringing our distant family together for a celebration of love amongst all this crazy covid. Thank you C&T and if the winning bidder ever sees this review, thank you too!
