22 years registered with them - 7 years with an incurable cancer. My wife and I couldn't wish for better support from reception to nurses and even the doctors if needed.

Sent by nhs 111 as experiencing blood in urine and temp of 38.2 Tried to explain to receptionist who mistook my enquiry as demanding to see someone now Suggested I did am e,consult. Explained I hadn't heard back from the last one and due to the nature of my complaint, couldnt risk waiting 48 hours for a reply. I was aware that if she knew my ailment she'd be more understanding and aware that the waiting room had people listening in. I asked could I have a word privately. She said "no" So I Explained it was a personal problem and she still said no, and I was on the list to be called today I asked how long She said the GPS make calls all day until 6.30 pm I was distressed and Explained that 111 said I need to be seen urgently and even told me I must not go to work. I then asked to see the practice manager She looked at the clock and said "she's just this second got into her office she can't see you" I Explained I was happy to wait I just wanted to explain it was an intimate issue and wanted a female gp etc But no, the receptionist said "OK I don't think you're understanding our policy or maybe I'm not explaining it properly, you're on the list to be called this morning" I Explained that she hadn't said that, and said up to 6.30pm and I'd gotten distressed at the prospect as I was in incredible pain 10/10 She stomped down the corridor and I heard her telling someone round the corner out of sight "She's demanding to see someone now" I absolutely was not demanding in any way. I was desperately trying to whisper as I didn't want people overhearing. I ended up going to the walk in centre next door. Referred to a 10.30am gp appt ..outcome> gp was a man! I didn't want to be examined intimately so a wasted journey for the most part (could have been avoided if negative Nancy on reception had practiced a more person centred approach) Referred urgently to QA in 7 days I'm taking this complaint further All I wanted was some privacy and to be Explained the process out of earshot which i asked for several times. . The reception lady is so rude and its a shame as the only other time I've used this surgery, the staff on reception were lovely. I'm so confident that i was within reason and within my rights, that I have asked the gp to watch and listen to the cctv as this lady was a disgrace. She even scoffed some comment to the secretary sat in the bit behind her. Smug and unprofessional

Extremely poor service! Doctors are good but the reception stuff is incredibly bad. It was bad before, but now is even worse. New trend now is do not even answer the phones. Waiting for 3 week just to find out about my son's blood test results i can't get in touch with them the line is busy or no answer. After waiting for 30 minut es you kind of give up. I know that no one is going to do anything about it doesn't matter how many complaints we make. We pay taxes and everything and can't even get routine health care support. Sad situation!

Since I registered my daughter at this surgery from birth, I have had terrible service, treatment, and lack of expertise within the staff causing problems on numerous times. When complaints raised takes forever to get back to you and nothing is done and terrible excuses.....

I've seen lots of bad reviews here and my advice to anyone would definitely be to move Dr's surgery. Since moving surgery myself and my partner have been receiving amazing care and feel like we have drs who really care about our wellbeing. Dr Anandan is terrible. Whenever he asked us a question and we went to answer he would say "just a yes or no thanks" like he wasn't interested in anything else we had to say. Also, when my partner had an ear infection, he put the ear scope in her infected ear and then straight into the other one without changing or cleaning anything. My partner then got an infection in the other ear the next day. He also prescribed myself medication, and kept on prescribing it to me for months and by the time he decided to help me come off the medication, it was to late and I was already addicted. I've been battling ever since. I have raised my concerns with the surgery regarding Dr Anandan, especially in regards to my partners ear situation and unfortunately they just don't seem to be bothered or do anything about it because looking at the reviews, he is still the same.

Dr Anandan's advice to my wrist pain, "stop moving it for the indefinite future". Rude and arrogant man. Not satisfied.
