Only went on this occasion for a plant fair but as always it was enjoyable. I think that charging for something like this and then expect people to buy from the traders is a little too much. If perhaps you could buy from the traders and then get certain percentage refund off the admission fee then that may encourage people to attend.

Superb house to visit. Spotless & clean. Lots of interesting things to see. If you like oil paintings by famous artists you are in for a treat. My only negative is it was very hard to read who the paintings were by on alot of them, as the writing was on like little brass tags & it was dark. All the rooms are magnificent & all are detailed beautifully. There's the odd guide about. The gardens are beautiful too. Immaculate. Lots of outdoor games & activities for children to play with. Playground, picnic areas & woodland walks. Restaurant, shop & toilets. We visited with our Historic Houses Pass👍

Came today to visit the English heritage Manor House which is free for members, was hoping to have some lunch at the cafe but to pay £9.50 to eat 5 yards from the cash office sorry will go esle where, The main House and garden are so good and worth the entrance fees but do that lots a times before.
