Burrows Toyota, Penistone Road, Sheffield. Hard to be sure with any certainty whether I am dealing with incompetence or downright dishonesty but neither is a good look for Burrows Toyota. Brought the car in on Friday at 8.15am to have a towbar fitted - a day's work. At 4.15 pm I contacted them. Work not completed - apparently the wrong cable had arrived! Would they have ever contacted me? The work was finally completed at 5.00 pm on Monday. Also wanted them to check an upgrade to the infotainment system completed at the last service a few weeks ago. The technician couldn't find Android Auto either and had to conclude that the software had no been updated at all! Incompetence or dishonesty? After a few minutes I drove the car away. I should have checked - no registration plate on the new bike carrier! Also realised that I had not been given any keys to remove the locked bike rack. Had to wait until the next day to contact them. They agreed to supply a registration plate but couldn't find the keys and the technician had gone home! This matter is still awaiting resolution.
