Negative experience. Arranged for proprietor to attend on Saturday morning to advise on forthcoming stove installation. Checked the day before to ensure all in order and promised arrival before 10am due to work commitments. Waited in until 1pm, nobody arrived, several texts and calls to find out what was going on. NO response, NO communication, NO notification to advise of non attendance. Very disappointed and basically wasted our Saturday for nothing.l and went to work 3.5 hours late. Thanks

I instructed Burnwood Chimneys after a colleague appointed them and gave reasonable feedback. Sadly I was not so lucky. Initial they were very keen to help and visited our property on a few occasions to give us peace of mind however as the job commenced doubts started to set in! Initially we didn't realise the extent of the shoddy workmanship until we suffered with a major leak down our chimney. After several attempts in trying to contact Burnwood we were advised this was down to the chimney needing replacing and we were so called advised of this during the carrying out of the work. This was certainly not the case as had we been advised to replace the chimney whilst they were working on it we would have had that discussion. They finally advised that they would provide a quote to look at replacing the chimney stack which would resolve our issue. Again after this we had no communication from them and they never provided us with the quote. I contacted them several more times to which I never received a response. In view of this I had to appoint another company to inspect their work and they were shocked at the quality of work carried out. The hearth tiles were laid so poorly that nothing was level or even and was not at regulation height so should have never been signed off. The liner was set not central so the logburner sat completely off centre in the gap. And here comes the worst of it. They pushed the liner down the chimney so badly that it broke and bent the lead flashing that prevents water leaking down the chimney thus meaning it was actually their work that was created water pouring down our chimney and into our log burner every every time it rained. I made sure that the new company took photographs of all the issues to prove how badly the quality of work was. Our new fireplace was ruined, carpets ruined, wall all stained with water and these guys had the cheek to say that it was our chimney causing the issue. Even the company we appointed to redo all their work advised they have had several jobs in the last few months redoing Burnwoods Work. All in all a very frustrating experience from lack of contact to terrible workmanship.

Steve and Jason did a great job installing our woodburner. Very tidy job and would certainly recommend to anyone considering having a log burner installed. Took just two and a half day without any problems and came back to install hearth as soon as it was back in stock.
