The hotel grounds are beautiful well kept lawns and plenty of seating areas around the hotel the staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was clean altho no daily serviced any thing needed was available by asking at reception Nearby activities: Amazing Birds of Prey centre at the back of the hotel well worth a visit. The team were extremely knowledgeable and helpful they all obviously love the birds and the cages etc were clean and all areas tidy allowing public to handle the birds was incredible

Rooms: Small but very clean, great for 2-3 nights away. Food & drinks: The evening meals were lovely, the belly pork was delicious, huge portion. The drinks in the hotel bar were actually cheaper than pubs in York City centre. £10.10p for a pint of Black Sheep and a pint of Magners Fruit cider.
