I've been coming here for a while now and I always have the best time. The bar staff are super knowledgeable and Christopher is a rum genius! The managers Julio and Artemi are great - friendly, welcoming and professional; I've brought loads of my friends to Burlock and will continue to do so! Shout out to the brilliant idea that is the Rum Club, I've been attending the rum tasting events for over a year now and I've learnt so much about rum, I've met some amazing people and overall it's just such great value for money. Highly highly recommend Burlock Rum Room (especially their skinny fries!!)

CARNIVAL BRUNCH… the best afternoon! Booked via a lady called Abby who was extremely helpful with some of my *annoying* requests! The vibe was perfect, good music and delicious food. Well, where do I start. I went to their “carnival brunch” but the only thing carnival about it was the great music and the brilliant dancer. They have used the term “carnival style” as an excuse to serve EXTREMELY low quality food on paper plates. I can assure you I’m not saying it out of spite but simple facts. I flat out refused to eat it and asked to speak to the manager. He was incredibly rude, even saying “when you order at mc Donald’s, the food doesn’t look the same as the pictures” after battling with him for almost 10 minutes , Then he said he was sorry and would come back to rectify the situation but he didn’t, despite wondering around with nothing to do. So I emailed those above him and spoke to Abby who, when I showed her the appalling photo of the school dinner food, responded with “I’ve never seen a carnival theme serve food on ceramic plates” as I can see she said to another customer below. Their excuse is that other customers like it, but just because other weren’t as forthcoming as me doesn’t mean they thought the food was good. I can assure you, I spoke to two other women in the toilets who were just as upset but simply didn’t know how to approach the situation. Abby then said she would speak to the manager and get back to me which again she didn’t. 6days laters, no reply. Just like the manager at the restaurant. Avoid it, for £40 it’s terrible value and they take the money upfront, it’s the only reason they don’t care about your complain. Go to rum kitchen instead. Nicer staff and real jerk chicken. UPDATE TO OWNER RESPONSE. Again that’s all a lie. I did not speak to the manager and tell him it was ok, I was at the bar and ordered a drink. That’s the only interaction I had with him. If he’s saying any of us spoke to him , he is flat out LYING. I have to reason to pretend. I don’t know what’s going on a at this establishment I already mentioned in my email that I TRIED to have a good time Because my friend had come out of London and I did not want to ruin it for her. I didn’t say anything about the music being bad, I clearly stated the music was good but the food was awful and your manager is rude. Rather than making multiple excuses and lying about cctv , train your staff.

Great place, opens till 3am, brilliant DJ with his choice of songs and music as it kept us on the dance floor the whole night. Nice for group celebrations (bdays, catch up, night out for a guaranteed good time), staff were nice. Table service was good too. Seating sofas are comfortable. Lighting could be a bit brighter to be able to take good pictures. Floor was sticky and wet from all the drink spills which made it very slippery - if staff could clean it straight away it would be great to continue to have a good time. The toilet door lock was broken - it needs to be repaired.

Couldn’t believe what they were serving here and calling it "Brunch" a paper plate filled with soggy chips, bbq slathered wings and slaw.. The images of their brunch online is incredibly misleading!!! to boot, the Management on the day was so unprofessional and rude. AVOID!!!!! there are wayyyyyyy nicer places to have brunch with the tropical vibes in london. This was money and time we wont get back. [In response to comment below] I have not sent you nor spoken to you via email so it looks like I'm clearly not the only person who thought they had been misled! Instead of making excuses, how about you update your images to reflect how the food REALLY LOOKS! So noone else will be tricked
