  I sadly received zero customer service and we were ignored and overlooked the whole time, even though other customers had 3 shopping assistants helping them and some were standing around doing nothing. If you have a hint of an accent or a bit of melanin, expect you will not be welcomed there. I am 6 months pregnant and the experience has left me feeling very sad. I would rather spend my money elsewhere where I am welcomed and not ignored like I don't matter.

  I am so so glad I found Bump Start to go to for our pram. Every staff member was so helpful and friendly, could answer all our questions and were super accommodating. We were able to test out all the prams we wanted, even checking that they fitted in our car all folded down etc. The store not only has prams but such lovely nursery furniture, car seats, baby nests and anything you could really ask for! Thank you for such a smooth shopping experience. Can’t wait to be able to use our purchase

  Really excellent service from all the ladies in there, no pressure, very accommodating and very helpful. Didn’t really feel like we wanted to buy in the day going in but we’re more than happy to walk out with a purchase. Would 100% recommend!!!!

  Janette was super helpful when I came to buy my out ‘n’ about pushchair. It’s only 24hrs home and already been over the fields and far away. Feel confident that if we have any problems bumpstart will get them sorted.

  Bumpstart is just honestly the best baby shop you could find. They have been a continuous support for us throughout our journey from pregnancy to having a 6 month old. Every step of the way, they are truly wonderful. All members of staff are kind, thoughtful and just amazing at their job. We have been back a few times to get advice and have never been turned away or not taken seriously, which has been so important as a new parent. We had a manufacturers issue with our travel system, and Bumpstart's customer service and assistance was far superior to the manufacturers which was practically non-existant. We cannot praise Bumpstart and all of their wonderful staff enough, it's a shame we can't give an extra few stars!! Thank you for everything you have done for your family.

  I personally cannot give the team enough credit. I came here October 2020 after a referral from my sister. It was lockdown, there were not much shops open and finding a pushchair that you could test was difficult!! Thank goodness there was a period when shops opened, before closing again, as I would have never been able to access this gem of a place! Firstly, there are not many places I know of outside of Milton Keynes, that offer the service of testing the pushchairs, whilst receiving one-on-one time. Even though they do allow drop ins, I would highly recommend booking ahead, even if it’s last minute as they may have a slot! This was my first pregnancy and I didn’t know much about the steer of a pushchair or comforts, but it’s all broken down in the time you are there - the team are so knowledgeable! During the time, one of the team will go around with you and tell you about the pushchair they think is best for you - after you tell them what you are looking for! All the time they are so knowledgeable and personable it makes it difficult to look anywhere else, as I don’t believe the level of service would be the same. They are not pushy and don’t steer you to the top brand pushchairs. I did go over my budget, no pressure bar myself 1) I didn’t know the extent of what pushchair costs 2) because I did want the best for my baby 3) I really set my heart on this one travel system. It was the best I’ve spent as that pushchair will take him up to school age. When I purchased my items, they offer to hold the items until you’re ready to pick up - which was perfect! Now this is where it gets even better, I purchased my items October 2020. I had an issue with the cotbed I bought and I was hesitant at first as in most cases shops will tell you there’s “nothing they can do”. I called Bump Start and told them, I showed them pictures of the fault and, with some back and forth with the supplier, Janette, arranged a replacement cotbed and it’s January 2023! I am really pleased and really grateful for all of the team being able to answer my queries along the way. I would want any expecting parent to come here and have a stress free pleasant shopping experience! They have helped so much pre and post sale I could not pass without letting the world know how great they are! Thank you!

  A lovely team who couldn't have been more helpful despite us not having an appointment and them being very busy. A far better experience than John Lewis. The range available was very impressive and the staff are very knowledgeable
