We ordered a sink from Build4Less which was absolutely stunning but sadly, we soon discovered that the unit was too large for our new kitchen. We reported this Build4Less shortly afterwards who agreed to collect it. However, there would be a £10 return fee (we're fine with that) but also a reduction in the original price of 20% as a "restock fee". We are consumers and not trade and therefore is unlawful. Despite stating this fact to Build4Less and advising that our statutory rights as consumers override their terms and conditions, to date they have refused to collect the sink and refund us the total amount we paid, less the return fee of £10. We have therefore reported Build4Less to trading standards who have advised that they will be raising this issue with Build4Less. In addition, the companies "cooling-off" period on the website is stated to be only 7 days - also in contravention of the law. It should be 14 days.

Ordered 6 sheets of 18mm structural hardwood ply and 3 sheets of 60mm Celotex - good prices and free delivery. First delivery of ply didn't come off the lorry, it was soaking wet, very warped, and delaminating. Reported the issue straight away to Hayley Farrell and after a bit of communication about the grade of product to ensue I was going to get what I ordered, she managed to arrange the re-delivery of ply in perfect condition a day later so not to delay my project too much. Issue with the first order was unfortunate and shouldn't have been sent out in that state, but the manner in which a compny responds to and rectifies problems should not be overlooked; I appreciate the efforts Hayley made to address the issues. Also worth a mention was the delivery driver from Arnold Laver, top bloke who obviously understands good customer service.
