Food was pleasant but nothing amazing. Place was nice with pleasant staff. Probably better for people more sophisticated than me. Was definitely classy

Bad point.. parking is a bit iffy. Get there early or be prepared for a 5 min walk. We went for the 5 min walk option. Good points...staff are fantastic. Very friendly, helpful and very very hardworking. A real credit to the place. Considering how busy the service was excellent. The food is British Pub Food the way it should be done. It was excellent. It was in my opinion the best pub lunch I've had in a long time. Thank you for doing what you are doing.

The food was excellent, and there was a good selection of wines and beers. The staff were friendly, providing good service, and kept us informed if there were delays. With it obviously being a popular pub, the relatively small car park gets full quickly. However, the staff were very helpful in facilitating alternative arrangements. Overall, both our recent visits, which were the first occasions we had been there, were very enjoyable.

Visited for a Sunday roast, parking was a nightmare but the lack of space for parking spots goes hand in hand with an old building in an old village. I ended up parking at another hospitality establishment that's just a 2 minute walk down the road. The price for a roast is rather steep but completely justified, could have done with more roasties though. Friendly, helpful staff, 10/10 for service & hospitality. A friend of mine has done a more in-depth review, instagram: @homeoftheroastbyella
