We quickly realized why we were the only diners in this restaurant at 6-7 pm on a Thursday night. The duck was not cooked fresh but was rewarmed, bone dry and not good. Salt pepper squid was deep fried with a lot of batter and when I pulled off the salty pepperless batter, the squid was bland. Guys, a margarita usually has salt on the rim of the glass and isn't ever an ingredient actually poured into the drink. Short ribs were cold. Saytay chicken and seafood ho fun were decent.

Good quality Singaporean/Malaysian food in a sophisticated setting as the restaurant is tucked away inside the Copthorne Tara hotel at the back of Kensington High Street. Been here several times but the restaurant has very recently had a makeover and it appears a change of staff as well…. The service is very good when there are not many people inside, but as soon as the restaurant became much busier with several tables full, the staff appeared to struggle to serve everyone efficiently so perhaps they could have done with an extra staff member. The laksa was very tasty, although the portion seems to have become slightly smaller than before with fewer number of prawns and Beancurd. The choi sum vegetables were good.

This newly renovated restaurant within Copthorne Tara Hotel is one of my favorite Asian restaurants in the Kensington area! Would recommend the crispy duck and sesame prawn toast for starters, and the Penang char kway teow and laksa for mains. This restaurant is a great source of comfort for all Singaporeans in London, and you’re bound to find at least one Singaporean dining within at any one time, adding to the full experience!

Some of the worst Singaporean food I have eaten in my life. The chicken dumplings were not up to standard. The chicken rice did not look like chicken rice and came with vegetables that were not very fresh. To think they could charge such prices for such below-average quality food is outrageous. This restaurant is single-handedly hurting Singapore’s tourism industry by making people believe that Singaporean food tastes bad.

prices increased a lot and doesn’t match the quality of the food. We ordered a hainanese chicken and a lasa soup noodles and some fried mixed vegetables. Fried vegetables were quite oily and the chicken is too small for the price. Will not return anymore
