Food is divine!... rate is actually cooked to rare which makes a nice change - however... i find it somewhat unappropriate that the owner has removed the ability for waiting staff to receive tips. Part of the experience of fine food is meant to be about rewarding the hard working staff that put the hard work in for a meal well made and making you feel welcome.... not allowing card tips takes the experience away from the customer and inevitably leaves the staff out of pocket when they deserved something extra for their time

Went for Bottomless brunch, service could not fault but real Shame we were the only people in there so no atmosphere. Disappointed the drinks menu was changing so couldn’t have the drink we wanted. The food although lovely was far too small. All in all a little pricey for what we actually had.

Booked a mother's day meal. The restaurant was not busy but table was delayed due to staff shortages. Waited 1 hour 35 minutes for starters had to complain about the wait several times. Asked for a coffee but told they were to busy to make one though it did eventually arrive. Some drinks ordered but never arrived. Starters excellent when they arrived. Main course 4 people ordered a roast but only three small dishes of veg bought out which equated to half a cauliflower floret each. Asked for some more but was brought hard uncooked and cold cauliflower cheese. Waitress apologetic saying they only had 1 chef. At one point waitress cried saying she had had enough. Complained to the manager who said he was short staffed and had had to give up his mother's day to come in. The manager was not visible in the restaurant as he stayed in the bar with his own family despite them drowning in the restaurant. Why did he not move one of the three bar staff with no customers to dupport in the restaurant? Why did he not get upstairs and apologise to customers? Very poor leadership. They did refund starter's and give a voucher but only when I made a complaint to James. Really disappointed and ruined mother's day. Other friends had the same experience earlier in the day.

Went here last night after hearing good things since reopening with new owners, chefs and menus etc. We were not disappointed! Food was better than it ever has been here! All 4 of us absolutely loved our starters, mains and desserts. It was just beautifully cooked and presented - plus it was very reasonably priced. The only thing hat let it down slightly was the service over the course of the night, our waitress focused on the two other tables nearby and we were left waiting a lot between courses and then even for the bill. Having said that, she was fairly young so I think it's just down to lack of experience. We all said we'd definitely go again! Can't wait to try other things on the menu 😍
