What a disappointing service as always. Last time I was sectioned because of my mental health and I was left in a waiting room for 24hrs( not helpful when you are mentally unstable. Then I went in tonight for a concussion and a head full of blood as I waited at least 3 hours with no mental support or care. If something happens to me overnight because I was not seen….it is your fault! Absolutely disgraceful service

I came to the A&E with my daughter because she has had a fever for 6 days, they gave her nurofen and told us to wait 6 hours to see a doctor, because the doctor was in the children's section and in the rest of the hospital. They said she could leave and go to the GP. It is unacceptable to send a 5-year-old child home with a fever of 38.9 because the doctor would only come back in 6 hours or more. She is a child!!! 😔😡

Honestly the service received was amazing. I arrived at 7.45am, was seen within 2 mins by triage sent round to minor injuries, had consultation, emergency X ray, further consultation, temporary cast put on and left at 9.15. Everyone was so kind and helpful thank you for making it such a positive experience

The Voice recognition is completely hopeless. There's nothing wrong with my spoken English but it was incapable of recognising "accident and emergency", or just "accident" or "emergency", or "A and E" .... it did ask if I wanted "ah knee" which I suspected was AnE but when I said "yes" (and how straightforward is that) it was unable to understand. Waste of my time and money! Come on Broomfield management, you should regularly verify your critical systems are working!!

was seen by triage which avoided the check in with reception, and sent straight to minor injuries and seen almost instantly by the most informative, respectful and caring doctor I have EVER met. Confirmed my suspicions about my illness and insisted on getting me admitted (which she stated can be very difficult), and they ran further tests incredibly quickly. Blood tests taken by the nicest and a really funny nurse. And second doctor I saw gave me loads of advice and put me on waiting lists to confirm a diagnosis to begin medical treatment. Went back a few days later to drop off a sample and the nurses around the receptionist station were also incredibly lovely. Parking near the the a&E entrance can get filled pretty easily, which is the reason for four stars. But overall a great standard of care across all staff.

Mother in law taken to hospital - 20 hours wait for an ambulance, then taken to Broomfield and waited two hours to be admitted. When in the room no one was there, she had no idea what was happening - frightening at 88. When my husband asked what was happening staff said ‘no idea’.
