We stayed in The Daisy Carriage and what a gem of a find it was so peaceful and private, only having two carriages you were not on top of each other. Our dog loved it as he was totally enclosed but he sat and watched the world go by. Mel was an exceptional host and was always there for anything on the mobile and respected our privacy, nothing was too much trouble. The carriage was luxurious and delightfully kitted out with everything that you needed. The kitchen/cooking area was undercover yet outside if that makes sense along with your dining area and there was still plenty of comfort and cushions all around you, everything was impeccably thought of. Now the wood fired Hot Tub was excellent just don't over do the wood as the heat continues to warm the tub even after the wood has burned. Shower facilities are down the short path but your shower room is a nice size and hot water along with hairdryer, mirror and seating and is locked with you having the key for the Daisy Carriage so only you use it for your entire stay. Your own toilet is near to your carriage and is compostable, I must admit it was new to me and did have reservations but honestly I had no need to worry as it was noval and only because we have been brought up in a easy flush system generation it's time we tried other new environmental ways. There is also a locked shed for bikes, golf clubs etc to put in during your stay. Plenty to do as well pubs, walks, bike rides, golf, shop, anything you want you will find. Yes we will definitely be going back as it was definitely what we needed. Thank you so much Mel and Dave. Kind Regards Lynda Andy & Kobi xx

We are just back from a FANTASTIC long weekend at Broom Hill Retreat, we honestly can't thank Mel and family enough. We stayed in the new 'Daisy' family carriage and couldn't fault it. From first contact to leaving, the owners were so friendly and informative. Every aspect of our stay was impeccably thought out. The cabin is luxurious and has everything you could possibly need for a lovely relaxing stay. The beds were super comfortable, and we were all alseep within minutes. Little extras like Easter eggs for the children and fresh milk in the fridge were a wonderful surprise. Our little dog also loved the toys left for him to play with. The hot tub made for a lovely, relaxing evening. The showers were wonderful, warm, and powerful, and the kitchen area was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. We were blessed with great weather and so were able to use the bbq each day, although rain wouldn't have stopped us as the cooking and eating area is undercover. WiFi was available, and the signal was great (although we didn't tell the children it was an option as wanted a no tech weekend). Broom Hill Retreat is well located, and we enjoyed days out at nearby Ross on Wye, Beechenhurst sculpture trail, and Symmonds Yat Rock. 100% would recommend to friends and family, and we will certainly be returning in the future. Thank you so much, Mel.

A very enjoyable few nights in the Annexe. It's been refurbished to a high standard. Very warm and comfortable with a lovely seating area/patio. Nothing too much trouble for Mel. Great place to stay for walks and cycling. Red Hart pub in Blaisdon is worth a visit and is walkable from here.

Had an amazing stay in The Old Railway Carriage @ BroomHill Retreat. Everything was so well thought out and I can honestly say that I can think of nothing that could make this a better place to stay. From the games that are there to play, the BBQ to cook on and the amazing shower facilities that are worthy of a 5 * hotel not to forget the hot tub! Mel really has done a wonderful job here and I will be returning!

Loved staying in the annex. Mel was a great host, very attentive and welcoming. The annex is very well equipped with a fridge, cooking facilities and even a washing machine. The outside area with table and chairs is a bonus for breakfast outside enjoying the beautiful countryside. Thanks for a great stay.
