I worked through an Agency - Intelligent Resources and HAD to use one of their approved Umbrellas. So i chose brookson one from the list. I wasn't keen on being forced to use from the agency PSL. However Brookson themselves are very professional and ALWAYS PAID ON TIME when my timesheets were sent/approved on time. Brookson always answered my queries in a very helpful and friendly manner. IF there were issues it was with the agency and never with Brookson.

AVOID!!! AVOID!! They assured me all my Self Assessment returns were being sent in after I filled out all details each year across 4 years, however, I have just received a nasty shock from HM Revenue to say none had been sent in... not a single one, along with a £6k penalty fine. Still trying to get hold of one of their "tax specialists" to help rectify the situation. Absolutely bizarre and unprofessional to say the least and these guys are not the cheapest company by any stretch. Avoid using at all costs. Utterly appalling service.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Terrible Service, they do no value their clients or client needs, if they reply, there is a long delay in replying to any form of communication, and they do not respond to all of the points that you bring up to them, only what they deem relevant. Their "onboarding" processes is generic and is spread over a 3 month period, not willing to give you information that you request at the time if it is not as per their "script". If I could give a 0 star rating I would.

SLEEPING ACCOUNTANTS Are Brooksons still operating, or is everyone still on holiday? I have been trying to contact an advisor or customer service for 2 weeks - without success. This is for a tax return issue that I am incurring HMRC fines - due to Brooksons lack of attention.. Last year the system did not work for months. Is it now the turn of the staff: or has Brooksons stopped trading?

Avoid as a plague It is Friday, and without any notice i haven't been payed... This is ongoing issue with them, when i complain for a week i receive email everyday that they don't have response from my agency (scipro)....I pick up the phone, my agency replied straight away...when i complain again they said for the 10th time (I am sorry i feel this way), like they live in a dream, and it is not the reality of what they doing...or they don't do, and always the one on the phone promise to contact the payroll people inside this company and you never talk to the person in the department (They are hidden). Or for few days they claim some Lucy who is responsible for my account she is off sick.

Has to be one star. Very easy to give them "" 5* (FIVE STARS) "" On boarding, the portal, checkup calls, fantastic. BUT after the extremely pleasant and friendly talks finish, and YOU decide to check on things with HMRC etc, you then relaise they do NOTHING ! Return's not submitted, even allocating their fees on the bank section of portal, can't be bothered. Many complaints from me, many promises from them = Nothing. The portal is ok, I choose them due to MTD, knowing they have the means, BUT that's only good if they lift their finger and actually do the job people pay them for. The cyber attack has nothing to do with laziness and late submissions, holding and delaying people, just to collect the monthly fees. 2022 I thought they were great with all the pleasantries and sugar coating, 2023 the taste is very bitter, when I say their name. "IGNORE" reviews from people whom have been with them for under 6 months, as they haven't uncovered what's happening yet. Also ignore before 2022, different ownership.
