My mum was here in the high care dementia unit for about a year up until she passed away there was a couple of staff who was amazing one young female staff member in particular was so kind and caring to my mum . Mum always enjoyed the food provided which always looked good and the staff tried there best to feed her when she couldn't do it anymore . The downsides was not enough staff and the residents were placed in chairs in one room with nothing to do but sit there ,there was no activities no T.V and normally just one staff member sitting on her own at a table reading or having tea my mum was bored and unhappy .despite us providing all toiletries mums hair was never washed and she never seemed clean they lost her clothes and she was left with a noisy tap in her room for a month .I wouldn't recommend this home for anyone with dementia it's not a cheery happy homely place it has a very lonely feel and it needs vast improvement.
