We had a great day on the canal. The person who showed us what to do was very friendly and knowledgeable. The boat met all our needs, has a small oven but no pans to warm anything so take your own. It's a lovely way to spend a day. Some of the locks were a bit hard to operate and one was had a padlocked gate Would recommend for something different.

We hired a boat for the day for my dads birthday. It was a great experience. We collected the boat at 0930 and were given assistance through the first locke. The gentleman was very informative and gave us some history of the canal. The boat was clean and had all the amenities that we required for our day. Highly recommended if you want a day out in Hebden Bridge. Thank you.

What a wonderful day for the whole family. Party of 12 from 4yrs to 80 yrs . 2 dogs too. Went up to Sowerby bridge and navigated through 4 locks each way. Very clean boat which was easy 2 handle following instructions from the young lad who works there. Right on our doorstop and a fantastic way to view the amazing canal system.Couldnt fault any part of the day and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

Excellent place to go if your ever out and about in Hebden Bridge and your bored and stressed so you decide to go out on a canal barge. Great prices and very friendly and helpful staff always there to assist. Just jump on the barge and forget all your worries as you drift casually and relaxing on the boat. Go all the way down the canal to todmorden or carry on to walsden and then go back again. This is a great activity to do in the summer so after this lockdown, if you want to get out and relax- Definitely come here and unwind for the day and forget all your worries. Just pack a hamper for the day and come to ‘’Bronte boat hires” and I’ll Guarantee you - you won’t regret it. This is another EXCELLENT place.👍.
