The most horrible recycling collection for thousands of pounds of council tax. Crew is also very rude.

As someone who is apparently not eligible for a recycling bin, I have to find recycling points for my recyclables. I've driven to 4 today, a 7 mile round trip to find them ALL absolutely full and one was absolutely bursting (see photo). Bromley council charge residents a ridiculous amount and do nothing to warrant it! I've only lived here 6 months and already thinking of leaving.

Awful. If I could give zero stars I would. A) Roads in Beckenham are pickled with potholes - I can attest they are significantly worse than roads in the rural Philippines! B) Gutters and drains are not cleared regularly, so any heavy rainfall leads to flooded roads. C) From 1 April 2023, car parking for a one hour stay has gone up 28.5%, and can only be paid by the RingGo app. That adds a further 20p for text messaging (this is not advertised), and another 20p as a 'convenience fee'. Whose 'convenience' is that? It's certainly not the customer, but the council's own convenience, since they don't have to collect the cash from meters now. Moreover, how does anyone without a mobile phone now park legally? You can bet there are pensioners (and maybe others) who don't have mobiles. The whole thing is immoral, disingenuous, and ignores inclusivity. Yet still, council tax has gone up. All told, this council is appalling.

In their defence, Bromley council excel at distributing parking violations. They've hired a band of moped mercenaries, no doubt commission based, who can often be found in the same car park at the same time, laughing and competing over issuing tickets. Congratulations. Rather than shafting your residents on top of all the positive work the reviews below suggest you clearly are performing, do something worthwhile. I'm sure the av.1.3 rating is not merited.

One of the highest charging councils for tax with the lowest return for your money. My friend pays roughly £50 less per month in Wandsworth for his council tax and has all his bins collected weekly, not just the bits they choose to take bi-weekly, regular road sweeping and gritting and a complimentary Christmas tree disposal system to name a few things. Bromley can't even bill you correctly let alone manage some compost in your paid for garden waste collection, which they take to make ....compost! And every time you log an incident on their website they simply change the status to actioned without doing anything!

Inept! I contacted Bromley council on 23 April 2021 and reported a serious incident that occurred at a property I own, and they offer on their housing list via Orchard & Shipman, now Pinnacle. This incident was investigated by the Metropolitan Police. It's now the 4th May 2021 and not a single response from any member of their staff. This just shows the total disregard and arrogance this council have for the people in this borough. Read their reviews below. Totally Inept! Now Bromley have joined up with Marcela Cardona | Senior Property Manager Pinnacle Group, 1 Progress Business Centre, Whittle Parkway, Slough, Berkshire, SL1 6DQ This inept company are purporting to be property managers. Avoid this due at all costs Avoid Bromley and Pinnacle at all costs.
