Lovely place, beautiful gardens, beautiful plant sales area, lovely staff and volunteers. This is English Heritage, if you are a member you get a 10% discount on sales including restaurant - that is a bit limited and pricey I think and the discount has to be claimed. Well worth the journey.

Lovely stately home beautifully looked after by English Heritage. Our walk around the interior of the hall was made that much more interesting by the well informed guide who was clearly passionate about the Hall and very happy to answer questions. The gardens are lovely to walk around too.

Gardens are wonderful. I found the house depressing and claustrophobic, but that could have been because I wasn't feeling too good. It needs some TLC.

Very nice walk around the gardens, then a lovely lunch sat outside in the sunshine. Capped off with a leisurely wander round the house - all-in-all a really good day
