    WHSMITH post office MUCH better. I AM NOT USING BROAD STREET MALL POST OFFICE AGAIN. I am extremely dissatisfied with my recent experiences at the Broad Street Mall post office. On my last two visits, I encountered a young gentleman who provided subpar service and charged me more than I should have been for postage. During my first visit a few years ago, I was charged for a prepaid Amazon parcel that I wanted to return. Despite having prepaid postage on the package, the employee insisted that I still needed to pay. The issue was resolved by Amazon, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. During my most recent visit on Easter Monday, I requested a domestic small letter to be tracked with 48-hour delivery and signed for. The employee told me that this was not available and only online and through parcel force and has to be a parcel, and offered me only one option for delivery, which cost £6.85. I asked if this was the cheapest option, and he told me that it was the only option for a signed delivery. However, I later discovered on the Post Office website that there were other options available, such as first-class signed delivery for only £2.60 . When I confronted the employee about this after payment, he insisted that special delivery was the cheapest guaranteed option, and even smirked at me in a condescending manner. The other male who insisted i pay for the prepaid during the last visit was also present. They are charging their customers whatever they feel like or perhaps they need further training to familiarise themselves with the products they are selling. Overall, I found the service at this post office to be unhelpful and dismissive. I feel like I was not given all the available options and was charged more than I should have been. As a result, I am extremely dissatisfied and will not be using this post office again. Instead, I will stick to the WHSmith post office where I have received more honest and helpful service in the past. RESPONSE TO OWNER: My point is that the employee did not adequately explain the other options for postage and acted inappropriately by automatically choosing the more expensive next day delivery option without first discussing this with me first when 48hr tracked or signed was not available. I only used your post office because the one located in WHSmith was closed. I would rather wait next time until they open.

    VERY rude over the phone. I am in limbo with what has happened to my parcel. I just wanted some information as I have never in 10 years lost an item until I use this post office. Lady Lied about when item has been shipped. Will never be going back there in a million years. Would prefer to walk on broken glass than use this post office again.
