Wonderful calm yard with amazing volunteers and ponies!! I've witnessed first hand how much difference equine assisted therapy makes in the lives of children with physical disabilities, scars from traumatic events. It's very therapeutic to volunteer too! The instructors are so friendly and calm, encouraging and supportive. Can only recommend!! Love this place.

Broadlands is one of the few places I see my anxious, autistic, fussy daughter relax and see her feeling good about herself. The coaches and volunteers are amazing at encouraging without any pressure or demands being put on the kids. She has done things here that I wouldn't have thought she could achieve, things other parents would take for granted but throw her into a panic normally, she has gone in the stable with Sam and gone out of sight of me with a volunteer, and on a horse. Amazing calm nurturing place. Thank you all.

As a local, I have always heard amazing stories of how much the Medstead RDA Group have helped so many individuals and their families over many years through equine therapy. I am now personally delighted and excited to be joining this group of dedicated people in September 2020 as an assistant administrator and I am very much looking forward to contributing to helping disabled children and adults.

I've been volunteering with Broadlands for over 2 years. It's a remarkable place filled with warmth and compassion towards humans and horses alike. The opportunity given to disabled children to experience riding and interaction with horses is invaluable. And it's wonderful to see the change that comes over children who have been locked in their own bodies and brains through illness or disability. It's something quite special.

I started riding at Broadlands RDA since around late 2010 - in other words, I've been riding with the group for nearly a decade. And I've enjoyed it thoroughly; I always enjoy every lesson and what I learnt from it and at Broadlands RDA, you learn a lot of interesting facts. I also benefit from riding there as well. Riding brings out the confidence, happiness, kindness, care and love in me and it's always lovely to be with the horses of Broadlands RDA. Horses are such loving, kind, caring, gentle and beautiful creatures. The people at Broadlands RDA are also lovely and are very friendly and caring. They're supportive and are always there to help those who need it and everybody understands each others needs; the location itself is in the peaceful countryside, meaning that I can concentrate and focus easily. Overall, I recommend Broadlands RDA very highly. It's a great place for learning about horses and horse - riding itself and the people there are friendly, caring, kind and understanding. It's a lovely place to ride at and riding will improve your strength, happiness, confidence, kindness, empathy and love. Thank you to the sponsors for your support and fundraising which enables Broadlands RDA to continue and its hard work. Thank you also to the instructors for knowledge and fun you've given myself and other riders throughout the years and thank you to the helpers for the devotion and support towards Broadlands RDA. I hope for the group to get more sponsors. Before going, thank you for reading the review I've given. I hope for more people to be inspired to do horse - riding. Anybody can ride, no matter who they are; so what are you waiting for?

Having started riding through Henry Tyndale School, Farnborough in 2009, with Aldershot Branch RDA (now Hampshire & Surrey Borders RDA), Matthew was encouraged to continue with Broadlands Group RDA in 2010. He has grown in confidence, mobility, stamina and of course height at Broadlands. His balance, coordination and motor skills have improved enormously, as have his social skills. He really enjoys his time at Broadlands, because he loves the horses, the setting and all the fantastic instructors, volunteers/helpers, who give their time and friendly approach so generously. He would love for Broadlands to get more sponsors, to allow more people the opportunity to discover 'what they can do'.
