    All the times I have been to Oxford on days out, I have NEVER came across this!! So I'm glad I did 🎨🖌️ I loved looking round this shop yesterday when I visited Oxford! I love art so this shop has given me inspos, staff were very polite and friendly, I brought two outline drawing pens yesterday ✒️ which was what I needed! And broad canvas had me covered! I will be returning next time I visit Oxford 🖤

    It's a nice little shop, but some of the products are extremely overpriced - I recommend you double check before you purchase anything. I bought the Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolour Set (45 piece) for £92.90 in the shop. The same set is available online from competitors for £35.49, or £44.50 from a brick and mortar competitor. I don't expect local stores to match online prices, but it was disappointing to be charged over double that of other physical stores.

    Was going to just make a small selection of old holland paints elsewhere online. Searched for a box set, maybe it’s affordable elsewhere. Then found their sale for a box set. Too good to be true! Researched the company. Appears to be real. However, for some unknown reason. The Sunday I try to order the set, they supposedly sell out, to which it says 5-10 days. That’s just my luck or it’s something fishy... I’m not from Oxford. So, I assume they prefer local business. I’m American, they probably hate Americans... I get it. Its a small shop. The price was very good. They want to do business in their country. They most likely bought the stock themselves, and are waiting to resell the company’s stock as their own and non sale prices to pocket the money themselves... they give a run around in email. if you can do business in person? I bet it’s wonderful to go there. Online? DONT OFFER ONLINE SALES IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE LIKE THAT... I’m a simple painter wanting to evolve my techniques and can’t afford the full sale price. . Was really looking forward to doing business here. But they stink like old fish. Its fishy... DONT TRUST THEM.

    I ordered online, preferring to trust a family company rather than Amazon. A online chat with Peter swiftly solved an issue with the website. Very impressive! My beautifully packed order arrived by courier less than 48 hours later. Next time I’m in Oxford I look forward to visiting Broad Canvas. My only issue is with the website … I seem to be locked out and I have 6 failed attempts at verifying my email and password. So, lovely friendly service, super efficient, highly recommended… but the website might not suit the faint hearted!
