I have visited one of the Red Cross stores in Harrogate and was treated to an absolute disgrace, while collecting items at store to try on, the shopping assistant started following us around making comments will we be trying these on as it’s only 3 items per customer, to which I’ve said I was ok with. When came to try it on, another lady came out of the changing room with 4 items to which I’ve challenged due to fact I was made feel like a shoplifter! I have never stole a thing in my life! I had to call the lady out on it and told her how I felt she was treating me. No one else were treated this way in the store, followed around and changing rooms guarded while we were trying on the items. I will not publicly name the particular member of staff. I have ended up purchasing 3 items that could have been more due to fact how I felt and being rushed around. I got to say there were no other people wanting to try anything on. This is a charity organisation and really in need of funds, therefore staff should be trained in better customer service. I got to admit, rest of the staff were lovely and treating us as customer should have been treated. I have put a complaint in which was investigated, apparently the staff members intention was nothing how I was made feel, which of course are lies. AVOID at any cost! There are other lovely charity organisations around the area who will really go out of their way to treat you with respect.

Nice collections including donations from Zara, M&S. Some items had labels cut out. The very dark haired woman who appeared to be the shop manager at the time seemed like she was hovering around me and watching me and not any other customers in the shop.

Large store, well laid out and plenty of room to move. Marked it down a star because of the super high prices.

Extremely well looked after and organised charity shop with a fantastic selection of women’s clothes in particular. All organised by colour - which when you’re shopping second hand clothes is so much more useful than by item or by price!
