    This morning my elderly neighbor had a fall on his morning walk (and had mostly just a bruised ego). I came home from the shop to find two of the Bristol Waste guys helping him down the drive. I believe their names were Dan and Julian? Anyways, thank you so much to these guys for taking the time to stop and helping me get him all the way home and downstairs into his flat. They were so kind and patient. Wonderful lads!

    Multiple times they’ve not collected our bins and we are a business so this is very frustrating especially when no one answers the phone or when there’s a holiday. It’s been 3 days and they’re not back for 2 more days. Ridiculous idea to offer to provide your services to a business when you’re away so much and don’t even have an emergency contact.     My whole neighbourhood is struggling with this issue - and Bristol Waste really isn't helping. As residents we have five different types of recycling material we all do our big and try and recycle - cardboard, paper, tins / cans, bottles and glass. Bristol waste provide us with just three containers to do this - one blue sack is exclusively for carboard, the other two containers are therefore left for the other 4 materials. Bristol Waste is now refusing to take any recycling in which two or more materials are mixed - so even when just glass and tin for example. This is leaving lots of uncollected recycling - because, amazingly, you can't fit four separate bits of recycling into just two containers. Can Bristol Waste explain how to achieve this maths puzzle? Or are its staff just looking for an excuse to do as little work as possible? Service: Waste recycling
