My elderly parents had their car serviced here at the end of March. One of the items on their invoice was to investigate and rectify the air con which wasn’t working. With the warmer weather this week, they’ve gone to use the air con and… nothing! The earliest date given to investigate was three days before they’re due to travel on their only annual holiday in the car mid-June and I suspect if parts are needed then the problem won’t be rectified before they go away. No refund or the possibility of was mentioned so they have paid for this work and have nothing to show for it.

While the quality of the sales staff during the purchasing process was wonderful, there still exist a number of issues with after sales. These can mostly be put down to the availability of resources and calendar openings. It is a challenge getting a free space and the policy of charging £20 to cover insurance for a courtesy car is both unexpected and unwelcome. During a recent visit a number of options were discussed and while the reason for my visit was not resolved, the service I received was acceptable.

brought my car in to be repaired from another garage diagnosis. This turned out to not the only issue which Nissan have done every thing possible to find out what it is. They’ve taken the time out to look over my car thoroughly through a master technician. Kept me updated multiple calls and emails a day whilst also carrying on a courtesy car for myself. Claire in the service team really has been amazing throughout everything, she’s went above and beyond more than any other garage has. Highly recommend this garage and everything they’ve done to help me.

This is a long story but Nissan did my major service in March then repaired my tensioner the following week. I was told that this repair had made the noise better but not fixed (it hadn't) when I called back I feel like the staff were obfuscating me due to me having no knowledge of cars. OK so then a few weeks later I'm driving on the m1 with my children and my alternator belt snaps off this was a scary situation as I've never experienced a break down or anything like the noise it made. I had a mechanic rescue me and look at my car, he told me at a major service the wear on that belt should have been noted (it hadn't I checked the paperwork when I got home and just a tick in the box). I called kettering nissan and the man that answered told me yes they check that and report any wear. So I called Northampton, the service manager called me back. I could tell she was not going to help me already as she said "I remember your feedback from the repair" I asked her if they check that belt on the major service, her response was that they don't remove it no (not what I asked) I told her what happened and there was no empathy or care she just said if we have it back we can't do until May!! Very helpful I'm not sure if any parent working full time could be without a car for that long. I just told her I would take it elsewhere. It looks like from reviews they treat you well if you are spending thousands on a new car but don't care so much about older car repairs or services. I will not use this garage for repairs or future purchases and have made sure my friends, family and colleagues are aware of how I was treated.
