Sadly, it wasn't the best 1st experience here food wise. I ordered the flat steak and was very sad to say it was inedible. It was overcooked, stringy, and tasteless. I tried to eat it but gave up. It was accompanied by a tasty sauce/topping, though, but very shy on the fries, maybe a dozen scattered around the edge of the plate. In the end, I sent it back and had a burger, which was quite decent. Had the steak been cooked rarer, it might have been OK. The staff were great, very apologetic, and didn't quibble about me returning my meal, so spot on there. Nice atmosphere, and the place was clean. I would return again, but order something different. Prices seem on par with other pub grub outlets
