Brigstone Stable was absolutely lovely for a weekend away in the countryside. With beautiful walks in the Penines right on your doorstep, not to mention the cosy fire and comfy house to come back to in the evenings, Amanda and Alex's place was perfect for a countryside retreat! There was a very well equipped kitchen which had all the little touches to ensure we had everything we needed to cook a feast in the evening! Not only this but we were really impressed by the welcome gifts including local biscuits and crisps, prosecco and chicken eggs from the neighbours! We were given fantastic personalised advice for local walks to suit our requirements, with Alex going out of his way to print out a map for us and draw on a route for our day, even signposting us to the local pub!! Alex and Amanda were super friendly and helpful and honestly couldn't have been better hosts! We really got on well with them and were very grateful for them going above and beyond for us across our entire trip!! Would recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing countryside retreat with lots of special touches!! Thank you for making our anniversary weekend so special Amanda and Alex!! 😊 xxx

We had a fabulous stay at Brigstone Stable. The stable has been beautifully renovated to a very high standard and it is obvious how much hard work Amanda and Alex have put into making this a special place to stay. We really appreciated the little extras like the fresh eggs from a neighbouring farm. As hosts they are very accommodating, friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend and will stay again. Thank you!

Lucky enough to be some of the first guests here. Stunning location with fabulous walks in every direction. The accommodation is fantastic. A great mix of old with modern facilities and good WiFi. It was the little touches that impressed - a well equipped kitchen for self catering, a welcome pack featuring local eggs and milk, handmade soaps from a local producer, vegan toiletries. Alex and Amanda love the outdoor life so will point you in the best direction either for walking or cycling (or doing nothing!) Great hosts.
