FAQ
What is your teacher-to-student ratio? What is your staff to child ratio?
Our teacher-to-student ratio and staff to child ratio varies based on the age group of the children. For our youngest children, we have a ratio of one teacher to three children and one staff member to three children. As the children get older, the ratios increase to one teacher to four children and one staff member to four children. We always maintain ratios that meet or exceed legal requirements and provide the best care for the children in our nursery school. Can you provide information on your curriculum and teaching philosophy?
At Bright Horizons Holland Park Day Nursery and Preschool, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, which focuses on the development and learning of children from birth to five years old. Our teaching philosophy is based on the belief that children learn best through play-based activities and hands-on experiences. We provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that encourages children to explore, develop their creativity, and build social skills. What is the daily schedule like for students at your nursery school?
Our daily schedule varies depending on the age group of the children, but we follow a consistent routine that includes outdoor play, circle time, meals and snacks, nap time, and a range of activities that are designed to support the children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. We also incorporate opportunities for free play and exploration, as well as individual and small group activities. Can parents observe classroom activities or participate in school events?
We encourage parents to participate in their child's learning and development, and we provide opportunities for parents to observe classroom activities and participate in school events. We have an open-door policy, which means that parents are welcome to visit the nursery school at any time. We also organize regular events such as parent-teacher conferences, family fun days, and holiday celebrations, which provide opportunities for parents to connect with our staff and other families in our community.Reviews

This school is on Ladbroke Grove. Poor air quality from heavy traffic has been shown to harm the developing brains of young children. This is a very serious issue and I would definitely avoid it for that reason.

We had an extremely positive experience at Bright Horizon Holland Park. Our 21 months daughter has been developing so much since she joined and she was running to go to the school on the afternoon telling us "bye" while running to join her amazing teacher Layla and her great colleagues. Layla has done a fantastic job, developing her and making our daughter even more independent, happy and confident. The manager of the school Chelsea is also extremely nice and professional. We highly recommend the school! The only reason we are leaving is because we are leaving the UK but if we could, we would have brought the school with us in our luggage!

Amazing nursery. They really care about the children and provide them with so many opportunities to learn. Great outdoor space with each room having its own dedicated outdoor area. The managerial team also know all the children by name. Food seems great too (there’s a chef on site who caters for dietary requirements). Information provided daily on what the children ate/slept/toileted/activities: My kids are so happy here they run to the front door with excitement each day when I say it’s nursery time. I couldn’t be happier with it. Big thanks to Chelsea, Cary, Yulin, Leila and all the other wonderful staff there.

All the staff (primary and supporting) are very friendly and are taking care of our little one as if he was their own. The premises are always clean, bright and airy. There is a great variety of activities, even for 6-month olds.

I have 2 daughters here at this center and am very pleased with the service. The staff are lovely, warm and attentive the children. The facilities are safe, clean and fun for the children. On top of all that, the center has an Outstanding from Ofsted.
