I joined Briggate Dental at the end of 2022 as I needed a dentist who were experienced with patients who have anxiety as I am having cancer treatment and it damages your teeth. They allowed me to join as a NHS patient which really helped. Since joining everyone is so nice and help me stay calm as well as understanding that I am scared of things near my face. I would 100% recommend. Jean Barnbrook.

Over the past few years it has become impossible to get a dentist appointment with my usual dentist. I am being passed onto new dentist's every-time I phone up for a regular checkup, or require any dental treatment. I now have to book a dentist appointments three months in-advance to see my usual dentist?? really poor service towards long serving patients who have visited the dental practice for many years.

Had a couple of issues with having crowns cemented back in that had fallen out. They lasted two days then fell back out again which leads me to believe it is due to poor materials being used for the cement. The dentist said after the first attempt that I should just leave it or go back to whoever did the crowns in the first place. This was done at a teaching hospital therefore I'd have needed to have been referred back. Felt that it was a bit dismissive. Other than that though the staff are friendly enough.

Having been registered with this Briggate Dental for a long time, I see James Cooper and the team regularly and have received such brilliant care and attention there. I have ongoing issues with my teeth and the practice are so accommodating at fitting me in when needed. James goes above and beyond and explains everything which is very reassuring as a nervous patient. Would give them 100 stars if I could!

Initially my appointment was cancelled for a second time. But after discussing it with a receptionist they were very accomodating and were able to re offer me a same day appointment...

Had my first ever visit to the practice today. The staff were all really friendly, I was pleased with the check up / clean which the Dentist did for me and I was in/out within less than 30 minutes which was great having a busy schedule myself. Overall great experience, I would highly recommend.

Had 1 missing tooth, every other single tooth PERFECT, in shape and health. They offered me a traditional bridge (look it up on internet) saying I didn't really need an implant for that. (They didn't do implants) Fyi: to make the bridge they have to shrink both teeth at the sides of the gap to use as anchors. They basically destroy 2 more teeth to fill that gap, replacing them with the bridge that covers them indeed. I'm 25. Perfect teeth at either side of the gap. Had more than enough bone for the implant. Went to 5 (five, no jokes) other dentists after them, to know their opinions and prices. Every single of them told me a bridge was a very, very bad idea. Most of them were genuinely shocked someone would offer me a traditional bridge. Draw your own conclusions about their work ethics. Good luck.
