Walked The Dales Way and The Cumbria Way with Brigantes walking tours helpful baggage collection . However, that's not all they do...you get an itinerary depending on how far you want to walk each day and then a break down of the miles and the places to stay which all gets sorted for you ..then all you have to do is turn up at the designated first night stay and the you just walk to the next destination...simple, hassle free, and it's exciting finding the next place to rest your tired limbs. you choose the package, the rest is done for you...smashing!!! I have had excellent service regarding queries and Annette ( the boss! ) is brilliant ! I can most definately recommend this company and all their staff for a first class service... I will be using them for future walks.... Thankyou!!

Booked a Dales way walking holiday with Brigantes. The service we received was excellent from begining to end . Annette took into account our preferences re distances we wanted to walk each day ,and planned an appropriate itnerary. Excellent accommodation was booked over 8 nights in a combination of pubs and independent B&B's. Luggage transfer worked faultlessly . When we book another walking holiday it will be with Brigantes

Brigantes have moved bags for me on a number of long distance walks now and if they support the walk I'm doing I wouldn't consider using anyone else. They were quick to respond to a change I needed to make to an itinerary and even with short notice on my part they adjusted the booking easily and without any fuss. This is a company where the customer comes first and it seems like nothing would be too much trouble. Have not used them for booking accommodation, but have stayed in B&Bs where other walkers have been using them for that service too and always heard positive responses. If you're planning a multi-day walk in the north of England, give them a call. Service: Group tours

Booked a 5 day bag transfer for 9 people. Prior to the last day, their service was fine and communication was prompt. On the last day, the bags were delivered to a pub about 500m from one of the stations in the Dales instead of the station with no prior notification. The delivery of the bags to the station was agreed and Brigantes also agreed that this would be ok in advance by email. As we were booked on a specific train, we got on the train without our bags and I called them as soon as i got phone signal. At this point, I received no apology and was initially blamed for not calling them (from a place with no phone signal or public phone) and getting on the train without the bags. Eventually, after stating that this Is Brigantes’ failure, they agreed to courier the bags to my home address. When I later complained formally through letter requesting a full refund, I received an apology and was told that by local knowledge, the pub named the station inn is called “the station”. At this point, Brigantes also stated they were unable to issue a full refund and that this had not happened in 25 years and led to them panicking when I first phoned them about the issue. They also agreed that they made a lot of false assumptions. To be fair, I accept mistakes are sometimes made but what I don’t appreciate is the attitudes which followed as described above. In my opinion, these are excuses. I spent a lot of time on this having to deliver bags to everyone after they were couriered to me, one person had to buy new clothing for another holiday as the courier company being used delivered the bag a week late. In my opinion, couriering the bags to me is a matter of principle and does not constitute any compensation as I did not have the bags on the agreed date at the agreed destination. And so I was quite disappointed when Brigantes stated they were unable to refund me. I initially asked for a full refund (which I agree is probably too much) and then later asked for at least a refund of the last day‘s service which Brigantes themselves accept they failed on. They then eventually informed me they were in a position to refund me. On checking the value of the refund later it appeared to be a partial refund (just over half) of the last days transfer.
