Food was OK but truly appalling service. Long delays in serving, waiter rarely seen and at one point we had to go into the kitchen to find someone to serve us. Just awful from a customer service point of view.

We came for lunch today (17/5/23) for my husband's birthday with 2 friends. Had never been before so thought it a change to try somewhere different. The food was good, a bit over cooked especially the garlic mushrooms, couldn't taste the garlic! The service was abysmal. We were there in total nearly 3 hours. We had to ask for the tables to be cleared and for a sweet menu, which took 25 mins to get! I asked for the bill at the same time as when they finally brought the desserts, but had to go again and ask ten minutes later. There were only 2 people serving everyone. When they were not serving they were just standing around. I will certainly not be returning to this pub. This was our first time and it will be our last. Apparently, so I am being told now, that this has been going on for quite some time and it is renowned for its service. Surely with today's climate to keep people coming to the pub things should be better.

We booked for 8 but were 9. It didn't really cause them any problems but they were surprisingly ungracious about it. Food and service ok though. Picture shows draft selection.
