FAQ
What is your experience and training in craniosacral therapy?
At Bridge to Health Osteopaths Ealing, all of our practitioners are trained and experienced in craniosacral therapy. We have undergone extensive training in this field and constantly update our knowledge and skills through continuing education courses and workshops. How does craniosacral therapy differ from other types of manual therapy?
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on therapy that aims to release tension and restrictions in the body's tissues, particularly in the craniosacral system. This system includes the bones, soft tissues, and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Unlike other forms of manual therapy, craniosacral therapy works with the body's natural healing processes to address underlying issues and promote overall health and wellbeing. Can craniosacral therapy be helpful for my specific condition or symptoms?
Craniosacral therapy has been shown to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions, including headaches, migraines, neck and back pain, stress and tension-related disorders, and more. However, every person's situation is unique, so we recommend scheduling an initial consultation to discuss your specific needs and determine if craniosacral therapy is right for you.How many sessions will I need and what can I expect during a typical session?
The number of sessions you will need depends on your individual situation and goals. During a typical session, you can expect to lie down fully clothed on a treatment table while the therapist gently uses their hands to assess and release tension in your body. Most sessions last between 45 and 60 minutes. What is your approach to integrating craniosacral therapy with other treatments or therapies I may be receiving?
At Bridge to Health Osteopaths Ealing, we take a holistic approach to healthcare and believe in working collaboratively with other healthcare providers to support your overall wellbeing. We are happy to coordinate care with your other providers and can work with you to develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your specific needs and goals.Reviews

Coming to Barbara Barakos for acupuncture has been enormously helpful on many levels. She is calm, kind and very easy to talk to and, as a result, I was immediately able to open up to her about the loss I recently suffered. She listens with great compassion and awareness and she offers invaluable insights. Barbara's holistic way of working means that her treatment plan will specifically address the emotional, physical, mental and spiritual issues that are brought to each session. She has played a pivotal part in my healing process and I would highly recommend Barbara if you are seeking to release blocked emotions or physical problems and restore balance to mind, body and spirit.

Amazing team of practitioners ! Both Mathieu and Sian treat me regularly for my complex musculoskeletal issues. They are professional, skilled and empathetic osteopaths. When I have a flare up, I wouldn't be able to recover without their expert treatment. I have also had accapuncture from practitioners here, which is beneficial. I Can't recomend Bridge to Health enough.

Couldn't reccomend this place enough. I suffer from fibromyalgia and 2 of the great people working here saved me. Sian (osteopath) that I've been seeing for 3 years now and Barbara (acupuncture) who I only started seeing 4 months ago but what a difference it has made! Was a bit sceptic about acupuncture but Barbara's knowledge makes you feel comfortable and reassured. These ladies will definitely help you with what you need.

I could hardly walk the first time I attended Mathieu's clinic - I was in constant pain and getting pretty depressed at the though of remaining that way. But over the course of two weeks Matthieu literally put me back together. His anatomy knowledge is second to none and his integrated understanding of how the body moves is very impressive. I have every confidence in Matthieu's ability to treat and maintain a healthy body. He is a marvel. Elizabeth

I went to Bridge to Health after suffering for about 10 days with acute pain in my lower back. I booked with Sian Smith, an osteopath, who worked absolute wonders. I was feeling rather desperate with limited movement and little sleep. I was given a thorough assessment and first class treatment and sent away with some stretches. I could feel the treatment kick in within days and with only one follow up appointment, I'm nearly myself again. I couldn't recommend Sian enough and the prices are really competitive. It was a real life saver. THANK YOU.

Incredible team of osteopaths. I have multiple back issues including, a disc bulge, arthritis and onset osteoporosis. For me it is about managing my conditions so I can lead my life. I am now being treated by Mathieu who gets to the problems quickly in the clinic but also encourages everyday disciples so I become stronger. The difference in 3 months is very noticeable and to move around with little and sometimes no pain is life changing. Mathieu is direct and honest and is interested in my rehabilitation long term - no nonsense advice and very encouraging. I’m looking forward to including rehabilitation pilates at the clinic as suggested. After years of back issues, Bridge to Health is showing me how to take responsibility for my own wellness - there is no quick fix for me but the treatments, advice and encouragement are setting me up for long term health and good mobility. Very grateful that this practice was recommended to me and that I have Mathieu on my side! Thank you Mathieu!

I’ve been visiting Bridge to Health in Ealing for many years on and off as I have a few chronic msk conditions. During this time, I have switched and changed between their osteopaths depending on my own and their availability with no problem and without any compromise in the treatment provided which means the practice can provide treatment when I require rather than being dependent on one practitioner so giving plenty of options and means I can always get treatment quickly . I have always been treated with great expertise, care kindness compassion and most of all with the utmost skill. All the osteopaths at this practice are so highly skilled and passionate it is with confidence that you can book in with any of them as they clearly have been specially selected for their competence . I have always felt better very soon after a couple of sessions and there is never a pressure to continue with more sessions .More recently I have treated by Nick, Sian and Matthieu and would recommend any of them to anyone .I have a complex combination of conditions and it’s never fazed any of them . Each treatment session has been packed in with precision to get the optimum outcome in one session. This practice also offers the community a range of therapies to meet various needs of the community.I highly recommend Matthieu and his team to anyone .

I came to see Mathieu earlier in the year with a lower back issue that was causing me a lot of pain. He immediately identified the problem and after one treatment I felt a huge improvement, and after three treatments I felt restored! I really like the way that Mathieu takes a 'whole-person' approach and has empowered me to make changes to my lifestyle (such as my working from home set up and suggested exercises), to help avoid the problem happening again. He does all of this with great humour and kindness. On Mathieu's recommendation I am now taking Pilates classes with Jenny and finding them very beneficial. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mathieu and his team at Bridge to Health.
