Have had cameras and alarms installed by Briar security systems for years and have always been happy and found them very helpful. On Friday we had an issue when the house alarm could not be set. We were extremely impressed, and pleased, by the very supportive service we got - an engineer, Nikos, came that same day and at the time that worked for us. He came up with a very good solution and sorted the problem. Very many thanks.

I rang this company when an old alarm in my home began to make a bleeping noise. The system needed a reset code. I rang hoping to get some help. only to be meet with, we don't keep the codes in the office ! If you want to book an engineer it will cost you £160 ! Really! I asked them to remove the alarm and it comes with a charge ! Do you self a favor and steer well clear and use another firm , If I was going to have an alarm fitted I would not use Brair security after the way I have been treated !

I had my Briar Security burglar alarm upgraded on 16 Dec 2020 by Simon. I was so pleased with job, that I felt he needed some acclaim. He did a really super job. We were in lockdown and he just got on with everything without any disturbance to our routine. We really didn't know he was there. He put in a new control unit and a new keypad, changed three PIRs, and installed a new bell box. Best of all, despite all the drilling and fitting of new boxes and units, there was no filling or repair work, or cleaning up to be done !! Service: Installation

The engineer who installed was great, worked to install with minimum of fuss and explained the system and App in detail to our staff. Warning. Be careful with this firm. My mother who is 75 had an alarm installed a few years ago and had a contract with them. Due to financial issues she couldn’t afford the maintenance contract and had to cancel. As they had tied her alarm into their iCloud which meant that the remote app wouldn’t work. If she called them out to fix it it would have cost over £100. What a crooked way to keep people paying their maintenance contract. If you do use them make sure that you set your own access to the Risco app. She has now had to pay for a new alarm panel so she can set it remotely. Crooks!!!!!

I have used this company for many years and have always found them very accommodating to my needs. Their Service Manager John and Senior Engineer Howard deserve special mention, for being exceptionally helpful. Whilst they may not be the cheapest, when you consider the longevity of support to systems they have installed, I have found them to be good value for money. I therefore thoroughly recommend Briar Security.
