I'm afraid that my experience was poor - the sitter, although she seemed to be trustworthy and lulled us into a false sense of security, left a number of our personal items damaged, had left old cat food out so that bluebottles laid their eggs inside the house and our goldfish was almost killed by overfeeding (the tank water was brown). I could go on. When I raised this with Animal Angels (with photo evidence), they basically denied there was any wrongdoing and criticised us for not giving clear enough instructions (despite the fact that I had sent a 10 page document on how to care for the animals). Awful customer service and I won't be using again.

Be very careful and clear in your communication with this firm - if you just want a quote for price/ costs and just want to know whether they would have sitters available for certain dates then take very great care - I was telephoned after I had declined an emailed quote and charged £30 for just such an enquiry (re ascertaining whether any sitters were free for my dates and requesting an emailed quote). I have never heard of a firm charging for a quote before! They state that the process of merely asking sitters if they are available and emailing a quote for the total price creates an admin cost BUT they do not make this clear on either their site or in initial conversations so if you do not want to be stung for this ridiculous cost then make very, very sure you tell them at the outset that you are only wanting a price quote and to know if there would be sitter availability, that you are NOT wanting to make a booking at this point until you have the quote and be very upfront that you do NOT agree to an admin charge for such a quote. Also - I wanted a sitter for 3 days 9am Friday to 9am Monday and was informed that this would be charged at 4 days daily rate so please do be very careful. Clear communication is vital here!
