Normally excellent but this was 1st day of Christmas menu and things not as good. 4 stars for overall quality in 2019. 2023 - Haddock fish cakes with salad and new potatoes. Good food and goid service. June 2023 - Ate outside for Sunday lunch Food OK but didn't have the previous edge. Rating stays. Parking: Right by restaurant.

First impressions upon entry, "what's that smell?" I've always thought carpets to be a poor choice in restaurants. They absorb too many odors: what with muddy shoes, wellies, possible dogs, spills, cooking, etc. We had a coffee only due to aversion against eating in a place that smells like that. Coffee was excellent! Perhaps the regulars know the quality of the food and have become used to the aroma, but we were discouraged from any more than the coffee. Staff were excellent! Consider steam cleaning the carpet or remove it and use a wooden floor.

We had a lovely lunch here. There is plenty of seating to choose from. We loved the food which was presented well and tasted great. Plenty of parking also. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

A very friendly welcome. The menu was fine with a good mix of sandwiches, jacket potatoes and full meals. There were sets of Trivial Pursuit questions on the tables, which was a bit of fun. The food arrived quickly and was piping hot. Both the all day breakfast and the sandwiches were good. A 10% service charge had been added to our bill, but it was removed when we asked. Parking: A busy car park.
