    I ordered two copies of my birth certificate for a passport application, I paid £24.50. The copies I received were hand written and signed. I sent those copies off for an apostille for a passport application and received an email back from the FCDO rejecting them because the person who signed the birth certificate was not a recognized official! I rang Brent Council and they told me they had hired new people whos’s signatures were not yet registered! Honestly, such a shoddy service.
