Absolutely fabulous place. We walked by unannounced (apologies again, Peter!) and had a wonderful informal and friendly chat with the master himself. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome - and we did. We picked up a few wonderful bottles at the Waitrose in Lewes the next day - fantastic memories.

Stunningly beautiful location making some really outstanding English sparkling wine, using methode Champenoise, currently from either Seyval Blanc or the classic Champagne grapes of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Visits are by appointment only - but if you have a keen interest in English sparkling wine it's a magical location and the owner, Peter Hall, is a charming and fascinating host.
