Enjoyed it last time I went , but now charging £2 per night per dog. That’s an extra £4 per night . Wouldn’t mind if they’re was a enclosed dog field , I’d pay for that . Most small places charge nothing. Or a pound per dog at the most.A shame I liked it there , but not that much, sorry.

Nice little campsite. They appear to get a lot of return customers. One family I spoke to said it was their 9th time back and another said they were on their 3rd time. This was my first time here, and I would not have any objection to going back. The staff were friendly, and they come round the campsite several times each evening to offer the rental of a firepit, you can't bring your own. As of May 2023, it cost me £12 for the firepit for 3 nights which included a 10kg bag of wood and a pack of firelighters. Marshmallows for toasting were extra. There were a lot of families on this site, lots of kids playing and a play area for them at the bottom. After 10pm the site goes silent and stayed that way until the morning. The only reason I needed earplugs in the early hours of the morning was because of the birds. The only negative about this site was that a lot of it is on a slope but this didn't seem to bother most people. There was a nice atmosphere especially in the evenings as a large proportion of campers sat around their firepits. The toilet block is fairly decent. They have separate male and female toilets and then there are 2 shower rooms each for males and females. The shower rooms also include a toilet and a sink which are kept fairly clean. There are also 3 sinks for washing up and a freezer for people to put their ice blocks in. Overall, I liked this site.

We have just visited Breaks Fold, it is a lovely location and has some interesting walks nearby, dog friendly also but make sure you have a grass screw or similar as they need to remain on lead at all times, we were the only ones camping on this occasion and we used it as a base to go into Harrogate which is around 25 minutes away. Would recommend but felt a little lonely with only us camping in a large field 😂

A lovely stay at the shepherd hut! It was absolutely beautiful and the location was amazing! Really easy check in process. Lovely wood fired hot tub and hosts couldn’t do enough for us! Will definitely be staying here again in the summer!

Just come back from our second stay - warm welcoming hosts - available for queries (text or knock on door) but equally respect your privacy while on holiday Stayed in the static caravan - well equipped and maintained - full kitchen including cafetiere, toaster, kitchen roll (bring your own oil and condiments - but also a hotel type welcome pack with tea coffee and nice biscuits etc . Great lounge area - comfy sofa and chairs - throws for the dog , tv, Wi-Fi, warm with central heating, comfy bed , washing up liquid, toilet rolls provided fun wood fired hot tub with plenty of wood (included in the cost of the hot tub) Great location next to reservoir with good walks and cycling as well as local tourist attractions - close to Skipton, Ilkley, Otley and Harrogate - no shops in easy walking distance but supermarkets deliver if you don’t want to drive We took our electric car and enjoyed free charging at National trust sites and the convenience of an EV charger at breaks fold farm - self pay using an app - general lack of many local fast chargers so this was very useful Planning our next stay already 😊

Had a beautiful one night stay in the yurt here. We received a very warm and friendly welcome on arrival. The pictures really don't do it justice! But then its always nice to arrive and discover that the place is even nicer than you had expected! The yurt itself and the bathroom/toilet facilities were really clean. The outdoor area had seating for 4, next to the small cooking stove. All crockery and cutlery provided, as well as washing up bowl and washing up liquid- which was great, as we had not thought to bring these ourselves! My only gripe is that the area is classed as a 'dark site' (I had chosen it precisely for this reason and checked the go-stargazing website for dates when there would be minimal moon light, so that we could watch the stars), however the toilet/shower block is right next to the yurt and remains lit , outside, with 5 or 6 bright lights. Obviously this is practical and is helpful for when guests need to access the facilities in the night, but it did spoil the star gazing somewhat. That said, we would definitely return and hope to rebook for next year.

We went to Breaks Fold Farm with our 3 year old and 1 year old. The site was in a peaceful remote location at the same time as being close enough to a range of activities by car. 20 - 30 minute drive will get you to many different things. There was also basic wifi available. The owners/staff on the farm were helpful and available when needed. There was a large variety of pitches to choose from with a good amount of space on each. We could easily fit our 4 man tent, car, wind breaks, table and chairs with a good amount of room to spare. The toilet block, showers, and dish washing facilities were kept very clean. A more experienced camper on the site described them as the cleanest facilities they'd ever used. We also enjoyed the fire baskets which were good value for money. The little climbimng frame was enough to entertain our children while we cooked food and sorted dishes etc. All in all we would definiteky use this campsite agian if we were to stay in the area. Suggested activities = Billy Bob's Parlour, Burnsall village with river to paddle/play in, Fountains Abbey, Bolton Abbey, Hesketh Farm
