I had high hopes for this place. The location is wonderful, right on the river with outside tables. Perfect for a sunny evening. The service was ok. It took a while to be greeted and a request to have the table wiped seemed a surprise but was mostly friendly. The problem was the food. It's sort of pub food but a more elevated version. There's burgers, fish and chips, and salads - pub staples these days. There's also some nice alternatives. The prices are a bit higher than most pubs but not ridiculous. Until the 15% service is added - not found in most pubs, and highish prices for starters or small dishes - and then it starts adding up. If the food is great then no problem. However, it was just OK. I've had much better fish and chips for less money in a nice pub in Wapping, the padron peppers weren't anything special and the cauliflower 65 was small and not that well flavoured (shame, as I had high hopes). The roast cod was good, though, so maybe it was the dishes we chose that weren't amazing. Would I go back? Maybe but just for the location but not in any hurry.

It was pricey but really liked the views of the river from the restaurant and the food were good. Got the Bread Street Kitchen Burger and the Ramsay Roast, as it was Sunday when we visited, which both were good. My fave was dessert and we got the Chocolate Fondant with Salted Caramel Ice Cream on the side which was heavenly. Would definitely recommend!

Hells Kitchen! We had booked the restaurant for lunch and it was a special occasion both mine and my sister in law’s birthday celebration. My sister in law had called up in advance to ask if there was a non meat roast option and was told there was. When at the restaurant we tried to order the roast cod as a roast ie. With the trimmings, and were told this was not doable and that we would need to order the cod meal separately and then pay for the trimmings. After agreeing to provide the trimmings with the roast cod, when our food arrived, it was a plate of vegetables and no cod? We raised this with the waitress who apologised for the mistake and then said the cod would follow. The cod then took another 15mins by which time we had pretty much finished our vegetables. The food was luke warm, the Yorkshire was rock hard and overall the food was so poor. The toilets were appalling with a lady in there who even warned me as I walked in, that they were grim! Toilet seat was hanging off, toilet rolls thrown around the floor including empty ones. Clearly no one had been in there to clean up. I very much doubt we will ever go back here. Really unacceptable for a Ramsey restaurant!
