Lovely atmosphere, service was very good and helpful and always made sure we were good. The house white wine was the best!!! The snails starter is to die for. Their Sunday menu unlike other places is quite big, lots of things to choose from and the Sunday set course deal is pretty good (2 courses £25, portions are quite big i left there stuffed haha) Great place would recommend.

We had the three course Virgin Experience deal with wine and came after a show on coronation day. I’d read some negative reviews from people with the same deal but our experience couldn’t have been more different. Lovely wine and food, great table, helpful and friendly service – and just four mintutes’ walk from Waterloo. No complaints here! (Thank you Silvie!)

Firstly I would like to say that the disabled toilet had no soap to wash your hands which is extremely unhygienic for a restaurant as this is how bacteria and germs spread. Secondary I would like to say that the chairs I found extremely uncomfortable sitting on a wooden chair that had no cushion for hours I actually left your restaurant feeling in pain and I suggest adding cushions and updating the chairs. Thirdly the food was of a poor quality. I order the ham hock firstly the bread tasted stale and the meat was fatty, it looked like it had been tipped out a tin. The main I order was the pork the pork was nice and one of the only things I liked, the cabbage was plain and salty and the potatoes was dry and didn't have enough sauce. The pudding I had the treacle pie this was extremely sour and bitter and when I asked for a alternative this was refused. Finally I would say that the service could have been better and throughout the hours I was there I was only offered wine twice.

It's been many years since we've been here and this visit was wonderful. Food and Service are top rated, my roast beef was delicious. We're coming back again, hopefully sooner than later.
