I don't normally leave reviews for companies I've dealt with, mainly because like most things these days, the service is usually mediocre at best, but Brandy Carr is a different experience altogether and definitely anything but mediocre. The service reminds me of a time when I was young and a business would go out of their way to keep the customer happy, and coming back. This is way Mr Asquith runs his business and its refreshing to feel valued as a customer in a way that is rare these days. I bought some plants from the nursery and the quality was nothing short of amazing, I bought four Rhubarb Crowns expecting to receive the usual two litre pots with a small Crown, recently potted and needing to be heavily nurtured, Imagine my surprise when I received a large box containing four enormous Crowns, wonderfully wrapped and all in beautiful condition and ready to be planted, also included was a personal note and all delivered within two days of making the order, Now that's what I call service. If you're looking for something different in the Rhubarb line, coupled with a good old fashioned, friendly, professional service, then look no further than Brandy Carr, and all I can say is, Many, Many Thanks because this Gardner of 35 years was mightily impressed, and I'll be passing on my experience to other gardeners local to myself in Surrey.

Not being familiar with Brandy Carr Nurseries, thought it best to have a quick chat with Ben about his rhubarb. He said he always looks after his customers, and if I did place an order, could be guaranteed 3 'proper sized' clumps; not those egg size tiddlers from other providers. After opening the package, boy oh boy, did he keep his promise. There they were, roughly 6 to 7inch solid big lumps of rhubarb, lovingly wrapped up in damp paper. Promise kept and delivered. However, one decided not to grow - Ben explained the growing conditions had been pretty awful during the start of the year - the advice being to give it another month to see if it would sprout into life. The month passed with no sign of growth, so sent through a picture as proof. Ben didn't hesitate in sending me a replacement (just as big!), as well as a little extra for sticking by him. Ben is a lovely, helpful gentleman, always willing to have a chat; one who gladly offers his sage like knowledge and experience, and who did indeed 'look after this customer'. Ben's rhubarb is growing away beautifully and bountifully, and am pig sick that I can't touch it for at least a year!! Want to purchase rhubarb...then I highly advise/recommend Brandy Carr; you'd be plain daft to go anywhere else! Ben awaits 'up north' where you'll find a superior product/service, and moreover, help keep a family tradition dating back to 1870 going. In a world where the few big conglomerates are basically taking over, let's all support the folks who work their socks off, and endeavor to keep some of our customs, way of life, alive and kicking. Long live the Yorkshire Triangle! Thanks Ben...

The prices here are very reasonable, however the staff need to polish up on their customer service skills. I called yesterday at 3.25pm to verify that they were open until 5 as their website states. The rude man said no the websites wrong, and it should say 4 but in any case they were shutting 'now' because it had been quiet. I explained I had a large requirement for plants and that we were about to set off there and be there in 5 mins but he told me not to bother as they were closing early. No apology. So their website is wrong, and they are not sticking to advertised times. I asked him what time they will open today (sunday) and he said about 11, and they'll open til 3 or 5, but close if it's not busy. In my opinion this isn't the way to run a business, you should update and stick to advertised opening hours otherwise customers who do not call ahead may be let down. Perhaps this is why you are quiet!? I have gone elsewhere today and spent £430 on plants.
