We loved our stay here! Centrally located in York and with a lovely helpful staff. We stayed in room 14 which was small but had a double bed and ensuite. Since it was on the top floor, the room could get warm, but we were able to cool it with the provided fan. The included breakfast was spot on and served promptly starting at 7:30. Be sure to use their discount code if you have a car to park. This is a fantastic option for a stay in York!

Just stayed for two nights in room 6. Expensive but it's right next to the Minster in the most beautiful part of York and fairly priced. Massive bathroom, lovely room, comfortable bed, very clean. Everything you need, staff lovely. Restaurant is good, breakfast is gorgeous. Really loved staying here and would absolutely recommend it. And will come back.

Staff great . Food lovely. We were in the attic and unfortunately had a smelly bathroom. Nice location but a bit noisy if you have the window open as close to bars and restaurants. We needed the window open to try and get rid of the musty smell. Rooms : 3/5 | Service : 5/5 | Location : 5/5 … More

We stayed here overnight. It is a family run, boutique hotel in the centre of York, which is completely do friendly. The location is fabulous, within 100 yards of the minster and the Shambles. We were welcomed by the owner who explained that they were undergoing work but that it should not impact on us, but please to be patient. It did not impact on us one bit. Considering the location and the style of the hotel, the rate was excellent value for money which include a breakfast which was also outstanding, using the best of local ingredients. It was clean and although it was a ‘small’ double, it was fully functional with en-suite. There is no parking in the street, but we were offered discounted parking locally which is also good value, as York parking is quite expensive. I have nothing negative to say about this hotel and the family who run it. Brilliant. We will be back.

The location is excellent, easy to find and in a short walk's distance to all shops, Betty's, The Shambles, Market, York Minster. It is ideally placed! Staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. I would gladly return and recommend to anyone visiting York! The restaurant next door is fabulous - a shout out to the two girls working on Monday night (20 March) who made fantastic cocktails, served with a smile and were incredibly helpful. Our room was on the top floor. Lovely and clean, small but not a problem. The only issue was outside noise (bars emptying glass bottles into a bin late at night), this is outside the control of the hotel and didn't dampen our moods. We would stay again. A lovely place.
