Spoke with a cold hearted POS at the council. She refused to set up the bin guys to take extra household domestic waste. I was in hospital with my wife the night before collection and could not put the rubbish out; she nearly died in labour. I told her this. They suggested an extra collection' but refused to guarantee that anyone would come or when anyone would come to collect. I've done this before and no one came. I'm not putting out 4 bin bags on the street to wait indefinitely for nearly two weeks for someone to possibly come. The women (and I use that word loosely) said I could take domestic waste to the Braintree recycling centre but would need to book. I went online to speak to someone at the recycling centre so i could make sure that they take HH domestic waste, but there is no way of speaking to anyone to find out. I could end up booking a slot, taking refuse there, only to be turned away. Of course they have no one to answer calls there because they cut everything to reduce costs all the time. Where is my council tax going. I pay approx 2200 on council tax and barely use any of the services they purport to use it for. They are useless. I wish I could give less than a 1 star rating. Regarding the women that I spoke to, giving everything that has happened recently, I'm not going to accept being patronised by some jobsworth. She is all the names I called her and more and deserves to be spoken to like rubbish because that's how she treats people.

After I asked The Rt Hon James Cleverly MP for help during the early part of 2022, he kindly gave it. In a linked but different formal complaint to the council at a later date, the team couldn't seem to let go of my referral to my MP, wouldn't address the actual complaint for what it was, and brought the process to an unsatisfactory conclusion despite an obvious and very simple solution. (An apology for sending correspondence from one individual under two different titles. It was confusing.)
