It's really good to donate.. The centre won't take your donation unless after checking your hemoglobin level, if it's less than normal, you'll given advice then coming back in 3 months. One thing my friend has noticed is that the person who donates wouldn't be asked to present an ID! Not sure if that's fine.

Really annoyed today. Constantly bombarded with emails telling me how desperate blood is needed but can't donate for want of trying. I've tried to give blood here on several occasions u nsuccessfully. Appointment 1- turned up, cancelled -staff shortage. Rebooked appointment at centre - on way to appointment when got phone call cancellation. Appointment 2 - turned up, 6weeks after holiday, looked fine when checking on website tick list but at centre, they decided Maldives unsafe. Cancelled Appointment 3 today, put off covid booster until next week to make sure no issues with donation, got to centre only to be told again, my appointment cancelled. Text sent while I was on way, so didn't receive until I arrived. What else can I say., at least 4 pints of blood which apparently desperately needed and one disillusioned donor.

Free parking? Might sound a bit petty but don't really like paying money to give blood. My only negative about this location.
