My mum was cared for by BPRO for about a year and a half. On the most part we can recommend. So many carers were excellent with mum. The care manager Zoe is truly amazing and really listened to and acted on any of our concerns/ problems we had. Mums main carers that she saw most of the time were Keri, Simon and Alex. They were mums most regular carers and were truly amazing, caring members of the team that treated mum as a human being with respect, dignity and always loved a laugh with her. Mum was never a number to them. There were many other members of staff that mum had from time to time - Kara, Grace, Harriet, Hannah and sydney aswell as Anne, Lesa and Peach who left a few months ago. All the above were lovely and caring! However, unfortunately we do feel we do need to be honest and we will have to mention one staff member, Tina, who quite frankly is in the wrong job. Carers should be caring individuals, which she is unfortunately not in the slightest. We have had many problems with her being very neglectful towards our amazing mum, which luckily we were there to intervene and stop, although I dread to think about those who haven’t got family members checking on them regularly or present during her care calls. There were many problems we had with her towards her level of ‘care’ if we can even call it that, due to her laziness and wanting to be in and out of the call as quick as possible so she can get home asap, yet still wanting to be paid for the full allocated time. Most of the time she stayed for a 1/4 of the allocated time she should have, not doing her job at all, neglecting a lot of my mums basic daily care needs just so she could rush off out of the house. All the while, my mum/ the NHS still had to pay the set allocated time, despite her not being there for hardly any of it, and not doing her job. In the end we had to request her not to come back to the house because of a serious neglectful situation in which was the final straw. For these reasons we have to give a 4 star, not a 5 star review. Anyhow, I don’t want to leave this review on A negative, because BPRO on a whole, (minus the one negative above) we found to be generally a good company in terms of the care for my mum and we are so grateful for the amazing carers. Run in any other direction of this agency. Treatment by management towards clients and staff is appalling and select staff members have been rude disrespectful and argumentative within my home. Inadequate care for a patient with more complex needs
