We needed to replace some large arched sash windows in an old Chapel in a conservation area, and after some searching for a suitable window company I found Box Clever Sash Windows. I read the reviews and looked into the company and was pleased to see that it was a family run business and had been trading for many years, and all reviews were excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Box Clever. From our initial consultation with Tony, through to the completion of the job, everything ran really smoothly, (even in a wet and windy November week!) We had 14 windows and a set of patio doors replaced. The fitters were fantastic - skilled, professional, super tidy and polite, nothing was too much trouble. Our house is old and has lots of peculiarities, but the boys took this, (and our fitted plantation shutters), completely in their stride. Very grateful to have discovered this local, family business. We've been absolutely delighted with the service that Box Clever has provided. We've had original Edwardian timber sash windows (double bays across two stories) replaced with Bygone Harmony spec double glazed reproduction units. Tony and the team were so helpful from the initial consultation and quotation through to installation. No pushy sales pitches at all - in fact he made some really helpful suggestions to keep costs down without compromising on the quality. Their quote was also cheaper than some competitors. There was a real level of attention to detail and craftsmanship which I appreciated. For example, they also took samples of existing architrave which their joiner could reproduce, rather than using an 'off the shelf' one that wouldn't match the rest of the house. We also had some awkward ornate plaster mouldings / curtain rails which needed to be factored in to the installation, but they were great at working out solutions. The advantage here of using a company that only specialises in sash-windows is that they're tremendously experienced and not at all phased by any little 'surprises' that may arise when dealing with these period properties. Over all the project ran to time and budget. The installation team were great - tidy, polite, professional and extremely skilled. It was of course disruptive to family life given the nature of the project, but it didn't feel stressful and communication was excellent. Regarding the product (Bygones): We already had some fitted at the back of the house some years ago so we knew the quality was excellent. The look is matched very closely with original timber but added security, insulation, soundproofing etc. Neighbours have commented that they can't really see the difference from the originals, which in context is a good thing! I'd be very happy to use Box Clever again if we had any more sash windows to replace! Would happily recommend. Service: General window replacement

I've been very impressed with Box Clever. Tony took the time to make sure we were making the right choice and gave invaluable guidance when it came to communication with the local planning authority. He wasn't pushy with us at any point and there were no double glazing salesman tactics to be seen! Unlike many companies, it wasn't just the sales process that was pleasant - everyone that came round was highly professional, clean, tidy and friendly. Furthermore, as someone with relatives who are able to assess such things, I can also confirm that the quality of the installation is/was excellent. Strongly recommend and very pleased all round. All interactions are professional, punctual and leave me feeling very positive about working with Tony and family. We had fourteen windows replaced from single pane wooden sash to modern double glazing. Our decorator through the replacement PVC sash were wooden frames the finish was so good!
