Friendly club, reasonably priced membership. Suitable for all ages and abilities. Very welcoming, and open all year round. Not sure who Gordon Macdonald had spoken to, its not a representation of the club at all! The club hosts many scout groups throughout the year.

We recently completed a beginners course and enjoyed it so much we joined the club. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, the facilities are excellent and the grounds are in beautiful treelined countryside. We are delighted to have found the Bowmen of Glen and we can’t recommend them enough.

We went along on the open day in May to find out more about bring the Beaver Scouts to a ‘taster’ archery session, as the boys have previously enjoyed the sport at camp. The gentleman we spoke to was very unhelpful and downright negative about involving children in the sport. He even said “if the 6year olds don’t listen I’ll put them out the gate”. Which was totally unreasonable as the boys have been involved in many activities, listening to instructions, and to date without incident. I would have thought involving 40 6-8 year olds with their parents would be something any club would welcome, but obviously this is not the case here. We are going to try and find a more welcoming club to get involved with, as this is not the attitude I would expect from any club.
